Eight people out of the eleven travelers who installed a kayak have kicked the bucket after it overturned on the Oti Waterway.
The travelers were grievers going from Kpajoti, a town in the Krachi Nchumuru Region to Sabaja in the Krachi West District.
They were all without life coats, an observer said. The mishap occurred on Monday, Walk 27.
The Assemblyman Wuringa discretionary region, Francis Yaw Bio told TV3’s Martin Asiedu Darteh on the late morning news that the number of travelers locally available the kayak, 11, was beyond what the kayak could take which is six.
“There were eleven individuals in the kayak, including the driver making it 12. The number was greater than whatever the kayak could take, they should be six travelers, ” he said.
He further said examinations have initiated into the reasons for the mishap.
