Cause Of Mohbad’s Death

The Nigeria Police Service has updated the public on its inquiries into Mohbad’s enigmatic death by holding a press conference.

On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, the Nigerian singer who was 27 years old passed away. Outrage over Mohbad’s death led to multiple protests and demands that the Nigeria Police look into what happened to him.

In a news conference conducted today, the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa, claimed that Mohbad’s death was caused by an injection given to him on Tuesday, September 12, by auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe.

The Commissioner said today, October 6, 2023, that five individuals have thus far been apprehended, arrested, and questioned in relation to the series of events that resulted in the death of the singer

Naira Marley, Sam Larry, the auxiliary nurse, Mohbad’s friends Primeboy and Spending, the person who invited the nurse, are the suspects.

“The assistant nurse who was phoned on September 11th, 2023, by Mohbad’s buddy Ayobami Sadiq, alias Spending, to attend to the singer at the deceased residence in Lekki. She eventually showed up on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023, and gave the singer three different injections, which are thought to have set off a series of events that directly led to the singer’s eventual demise.

She is the main suspect in Mohbad’s death, the speaker continued. She admitted that the injection she gave the deceased caused the reactions that ultimately resulted in Mohbad’s death. Her admission was supported by other professional assessments and testimony from witnesses.

Her actions of giving Mohbad doses of Tetanus toxoid, paracetamol, and cetrazone injection intravenously on September 12, 2023, at his home, immediately caused the reaction including vomiting, goose bumps, and convulsion that ultimately led to the singer’s death.

The police claim that Mohbad’s altercation with his boyhood friend Primeboy on September 10th led to the necessity for him to have treatment the following day and the invitation of an unlicensed nurse to administer it.
