Medeama SC has finalized the transfer of nine players to Sirens FC of the Maltese Premier League.
This relocation is a significant opportunity for the athletes to begin their European careers.
Midfielders Kwasi Donsu and Prosper Owusu Boakye, forward Charles Agyemang, Frank Boateng, Joshua Agyemang, Bismark Asare, defenders Daniel Opoku and Moro Muktar, and winger Akadom Mohammed Hafiz are among those leaving. Sirens FC has signed all of them to professional contracts.
While Kwasi Donsu, Frank Boateng, and Joshua Agyemang have agreed to one-year loan deals with Sirens FC, the remaining six players have agreed to permanent contracts with the club.
All legalities have been fulfilled, and the players are scheduled to begin training with their new team this week. Their trip to Malta will be a big step forward in their careers, as well as a showcase of Medeama SC’s rising international presence.
Agyemang’s move, however, will be postponed slightly because he will remain with Medeama SC for their CAF Champions League encounter against Remo Stars FC in Nigeria on Sunday, August 27, 2023.
Several of the moved players were crucial players in Medeama’s 2022-23 Ghana Premier League season, which saw the Tarkwa-based team win their first league title.
