The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has vowed to take strong legal action against those responsible for the recent attacks on its employees and denounced them.
Firefighters were verbally and physically attacked while performing their duties on two different occasions.
ADO II Abdul Aziz Annor, a firefighter from the Ministries Fire Station, had a fractured ankle on September 3, 2024, after being attacked in Accra by a driver and his companion, according to a statement released by GNFS on Tuesday, September 10.
Two days later, firefighters from the Dansoman Fire Station faced a similar ordeal.
