NEIP training Over 6,000 entrepreneurs in 5 Northern Regions


The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme are training over 6,000 entrepreneurs in the 5 northern regions in the Presidential Business Support Programme window 3.

The Programme seeks to train 26,000 applicants of the Programme in all the 260 Metropolitan, Municipal and District in the 16 Regions of Ghana.

The Presidential Business Support Programme has over the past two years trained 19,000 applicants and funded 4350 of them.

The training which was is done by private incubation hubs working with the National Entrepreneurship Innovative Program (NEIP) under the Ministry of Business Development, is to empower micro, small and medium enterprises and the beneficiaries on basic financial literacy concepts.

The widely patronized programme is part of the NEIP’s sustained efforts aimed at promoting financial inclusion through financial literacy.

Speaking at one of the training centres, in the northern region, the Director of Communication at NEIP, Joseph Osei Oppong Brenya said the Business support Programme is an initiative of the president to support businesses to grow and also help develop the entrepreneurial eco-system

He urged applicants to put the knowledge and skills acquired into use as the Akufo Addo government and the assembly would continue to support them in their personal and skills development.

He said President Akuffo Addo’s decision to decentralize the NEIP program is laudable because it will help other business in the district to get trained and also access the funding ranging from
